Gambling on Chinese New Year

Chinese New Year is coming up. For me Chinese New Year is always about Lion Dance and red envelopes... and that's about it. Grace asked her Youtube "Sifu" what a Chinese New Year dish would be. His response was that he's been posting Chinese dishes for 2 years.. if she could get a dish from that, he didn't know how to help her. So she asked for a specific Chinese New Year dish... and his response was that his adult son liked all the Jook Sing American Chinese food. I vaguely remember vegetariasn dishes and sweet fu jook tofu skins... but for me again, I don't know much about what food you are "Supposed" to have. There are a lot of traditions and they are becoming simplified. A lot of people go out on New Years (Or is it New Year's eve?) Finale at the Lantern Festival

These photos capture more of that incredible feeling that took place in the crowd when smoke and confetti and Lions and Dragons and Drums filled the space of the Greenway park turning it into... magic. I felt like a kid. Look at the smiles on people's faces rushing to capture the event on film. It really was something.

Chinatown Bike A Thon 2020: Nancy Huang

I wanted to blog about the Chinatown Bike a thon 2020 that took place. I rode a bike with my friend to and fro the Wind Crest Horse Farm https://www.windcresthorsefarm.org/ from the commuter rail station.
