Racism and social distancing

I haven't been writing on this blog as much because I felt separated from Boston's Chinatown by distance and experience. I don't have to deal with the things I had to when living there, but I can also see that there is sort of a Global Chinatown family. And I see Chinatown instead of Chinese because there is a difference in that experience that has some overlap. I have seen many videos recently of Asians being attacked. The videos and instances are not all the same. Many videos are verbal and recently many are physical. Some appear to have something to do with the Corna Virus. But some may have nothing to with the virus at all. I would like to talk a little bit about this every day for a while. Every day because there is a great deal to un pack and I have remained silent because I had to think about what I feel and think. I had hoped others would sort of take this blog over and felt that I should step aside.... but maybe there is nothing particularly wrong with me sharing my thought here, as a secondary writer, the major writer and contributors being an idea of a person or people who might not be ready or interested in using this site to write. And that's ok.
